Since you're using Virtual PC, something you might want to keep in mind
for your next upgrade is to enable the don't write changes to virtual disk
option. (Whatever Virtual PC calls it.)

That way, if something does go wrong (and odds are it will with testing
releases) you can disgard all the changes and be right back where you
started. Won't help you now of course, but something to keep in mind for
the future.
