What's the output of:

I have a PII 233 and the only window manager that I really liked is Gnome - everything else just seemed flaky, not sure why.  It's still a lot slower than I want, but I deal.  If you like gnome, checkout Dropline Gnome which is keeps your Gnome up to date through a simple installer.  Slackware only though.
