USB key flash drives. Is there a nice way to have an encrypted section 
that works easily from windows and linux?

Perhaps an encrypted file that has a very small windows binary and very 
small linux static binary for access? Ohh I suppose OSX compatibility 
would be nice too, but I dont have that kind of money. :)
