I'm sure they draw a distinction with a user willfully making large scale changes that drive there support cost up versus a virus.

It all depends HP/Compaq/Hewlett Compaqard business level computers/servers are fine.  If you get a Presorry-o, well you get a cheap computer with a lot of funky hardware that will only work with Windows.  That works well for the majority of their customers.  Linux users are not hin that group.
