Bah! I've been doing it for over a year and haven't had any problem.
In fact, it's actually pretty nice. And very easy to setup. I have it
automatically reconnect when it dies, and I'm natting my connection,
so my entire home network can get anywhere on the "other" network.
Plus I can bypass the firewall.
