I don't know if you ever got an answer to this question, but I was 
wondering the same thing the other day and searched around the internet 
a bit and found that apparently this utility doesn't display current 
settings at all, it simply acts as a gui to change the settings.  
Therefore, when you start the program again, it will look like it's been 
'reset' but it's not actually showing what your current settings are.  
Go figure.
