The not so easy way would be to have an extra machine setup as a file
server. Under Linux, mount up home and such using NFS. Under windows,
modify your XP accound (You'll most likely have to start > Run, mmc, add
the Local Users and Groups Snap In to get all the properties) Have WinXP
map your home path to \\linuxfileserver\username

You can also create startup scripts with group policy (which I thinks
works on local users, not 100% sure though) that would reconnect drivers
for you. Otherwise, just set reconnect at logon when you map the drive in
the first place.

Of course, this does require two computers, and some knowledge of autofs,
NFS, Samba, and Windows. :)
