Well, I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of the ATMs are running really
old 8086 chips.  Think about how long some of those machines have been
sitting in that same spot.  They might have less than a megabyte of
memory.  Linux can't quite fit into that..

Of course, I guess most ATMs have been upgraded to have color displays
now, so maybe they're better off than I think.  I just know that I've
seen one or two machines with their covers removed, and I saw 5 1/4"
floppy drives..
