Thanks to tclug for their install fest on saturday. I managed to get rh loaded and working on my laptop. I did have a bit of trouble with x and researched the monitor specs when I got home. The problem turned out to be the lack of a mouse. I plugged a junk mouse in, ran mouseconfig and up came x just fine! The mouse does not work however, (its junk after all) but the little joystick dealey on the ibm laptop works just fine. Thanks all Kevin Layne
