You can also set up gpm to work in a repeater mode, where data suitable
for X11 will come out of /dev/gpmdata.  However, it changes the format of
the data in the process, so it isn't recognized as a PS/2 mouse anymore. 
I think it comes up as a Microsoft mouse instead.  Also, I don't know if
gpm will send the scrollwheel stuff through or not (anyone know?)
