This may not be quite what you had in mind, but the "Return to Castle Wolfenstein" FPS is relatively new. It's based on the Quake III engine and requires OpenGL. I downloaded the single and multi-player Windows & Linux demos, maps, skins, etc., and ended up with over 800 MB of stuff.
