You may wish to look at the disk issue a different way.
Even if you "take to linux in a big way" (I have) you  may wish to get at
your data from both environment.
Linux is very good at reaching into windoze partitions and getting data.
WIndows - Hmmm.
I vote for 2 GB for a good linux install, the rest to windoze.
