Thank you, your meeting sounds fun. But I'm not competent enough a
programmer to make the trip from Isle, MN. I'm really learning which
software systems might apply to different uses.

I'm something of a Biophysicist. Twenty years ago I pushed the internet
(or the fiber optic "neural network" grid, anyway). Now I'm pushing a new
fuel cell "power grid" using "biomass" fuels. Basically, I'm a hardware
guy.

My wife works high up in a major food processing plant; more machinery.

Instrumentation and controls are my interest. Linux is the only way to
go. A GUI is important. A versatile GUI OOP IDE is a very big deal. The
Borland Kylix compiled Pascal system is the best solution I've seen.

I live at the end of the internet line out here. These big downloads take
(frustrating) hours. I wish I had better access to the people you
suggest. But for now, I have "hardware" to put together. Your information
is appreciated and not a "shameless plug." Please keep me informed.

Thanks,
Rick.
