It's both. Of course they aren't going to come out and just talk generic
concepts, that does not give you much. Examples is what you want to see. And OF
course they are going to push their product.

If RedHat would get off their butts and come and give a talk on their HA
solution I'd go to that as well.

You have to remember business usually don't do anything for totally free. :-)
