That solution will be global - I want the scope reduced to list specific.  I
may have to alter the perl code - except I can not claim fluency in perl and
so far have had no luck.  I keep trying to alter resend - but I seem to be
missing where this is set.  I need a way to debug the variables without
totally messing things up :(
