I'm curious if anyone has seen what happened to the XMPS project
(basically a rip-off of XMMS doing video instead of audio).  They were
the ones that seemed to have the best luck getting DivX ;-) (the codec,
not the disc) going under Linux.  Of course, it was through a convoluted
process involving running Wine on the Windows DLLs, but it (sort of)
worked.

Anyway, the site where it used to be

non-existant for quite a while...
