That's pretty much how the scenario has unfolded.  I don't have a
contract with anyone at this point, which Foo and Quux both fail
to grasp I guess.  Word on the street is that Foo might just agree
to pay Quux to shut them up.  I'll try to show up at the next Beer
Me(a|e)ting and share what I've learned.

I've done my best to sever ties with Quux at this point, but what
does that guarantee?  They aren't exactly paragons of virtue.  :-)

I'll think about that addendum to the resume.  I've interviewed
people for positions, and if I had seen that on a resume, I think
I would have asked about it, but it wouldn't have made me toss it.
