[VANILLA-L:1092] gcc 2.8.0 sucks?

Yes, this has been mentioned.

When I compile 2.7pl8 under gcc 2.8.0 on Solaris 2.5.1 and 2.6 ntserv
cores and dies everything. I do not think I am smart enough to figure
out why. Anyone have time to look at this?

How about you other non-solaris platforms using gcc 2.8.0?
