WordPerfect, Sound Card Chatter,

A couple of questions.

First of all, is there an easy way to remove a program such as Corel
Word Perfect, such as the process used with RPM files. I loaded the
program and it runs great except it appears that it will expire after
the trial period. Does anyone know if this program will cease to
function after the trial period and if so, how would I effectively
remove it from my system... Red Hat 4.2.

Secondly, I have a PNP modem/Sound Card. I was unable to get it to
configure for linux so I purchased a new modem that is non-PNP, which
works great. When I connect via the modem I get a lot of background
noise. Also when my system is a rest, I hear a groaning noise which I
believe is chatter from my sound card??? (Guess). I have not been able
to configure my soundcard either. Is there a way to determine what
ports, IRQs, resources may be used by these hidden devices so that I
may eliminate the problem.

Thanks Again,

Brian
