PPP/Kernal Source Location
I've recently installed Red Hat 5.1, and I've been struggling trying
to get my ppp connection working. It seems as though I somehow
installed 5.1 without ppp support, and I have tried to remedy this by
downloading ppp2.3.4 but I have run into the following problem.
Bear in mind I am very wet behind the ears.
When I try to install ppp, it looks for the kernel source in
/usr/src/linux, but it returns an error message. Fair enough, the
contingency here is just pass the install script the proper directory.
The problem being, how do I tell which directory is the proper kernel
source directory? I do have a /usr/src/linux directory, with many
subdirectories beneath it. When I tried to pass those subdirectories on
to the install script for ppp I recieved a similar "there does not
appear to be kernel source here" error. So I'm a bit stuck.
Help greatly appreciated!
