imap4 questions

I have a redhat 5.1 server doing all network e-mail and some users want to
have their mail stored on the server (then don't want to use pine), so I
thought that they could use IMAP and those who wanted POP could keep using
POP. Is the default install of redhat 5.1 (with the package 
imap-4.1.final-1) able to work off the shelf with IMAP?  Can users add
IMAP folders on the server via a windows imap program? And where would
these folders be installed? 

Finally, does anyone know of a small, light e-mail client for win95 that
supports IMAP? We have some 486dx-50/66 with 8-16 meg ram. (maybe with
mult-user support)
