anyluck with micq?

Has anyone gotten micq to work? I have redhat 5.1 and I've tried
installing the rpm from contrib.redhat.com and compiling the source
from two different versions, but everytime it installs fine but when I run
it I instantly get a segmentation fault. Any ideas? Are there some
libraries that I need or must be a certain version?
