Netscape/Apache and .htm files
Hi,
Anybody know why netscape 4.xx displays bare html when the apache 1.2.4
server on RedHat 5.1 linux serves up a file with a ".htm" extension. If I copy
the same
file as a ".html" it shows up fine.
I used to get the same behaviour with "lynx" too. But after I added the entry
"AddEncode text/html htm" to the /etc/httpd/conf/srm.conf I was able to see
.htm files properly with lynx.
Netscape though refuses to display anything but the raw html. The only way I
have
been able to get netscape to display them is if I open them up as files
instead
of from the web server.
The files are all .htm since they lie on a Netware Server which uses 8.3
filenames.
TIA,
