Well back when I used to work my old job about a year ago, there was a
update on Compaq's website about a firmware update for the Bigfoot drives.
The Bigfoot drives are some of the worst harddrives you can buy, and you
may want to try this firmware update to see if it fixes the problem.  I
suspect most of your data will be lost, as we had several bigfoot drives
eat themselves before this fix.
