I'm planning a major upgrade of my system and I want to put together a
hardware-based RAID.  Does anyone know anything about these RAIDport
option cards on most new motherboards?  The information I find on them is,
well, rather inconsistent.

Basicly, I want to be able to boot off off a RAID1 or RAID5 set of disks.
I'm hoping that this RAIDport thing will do RAID 1 or 5 and basicly
emulate the adaptec 7880 stuff, then I can install right to an array.

Any ideas would be really appreciated.
