Subject: The Stone SouperComputer

We are proud to announce that the Stone SouperComputer, the
Beowulf-style cluster built at Oak Ridge National Laboratory with no
funding out of surplus 486 and 586/Pentium CPUs, has reached 126 nodes
and is currently running parallel splines of monthly temperatures across
the conterminous United States at a one square kilometer resolution in
preparation for our next big spatial clustering analysis. For more
information, see http://www.esd.ornl.gov/facilities/beowulf
