I'm having trouble believing it too... I really want to know how the
mechanics of this thing would work. it stinks a bit like the 'e-mail tax'
hoax.
how would they charge merchants? per-SSL'ed packet that went across their
network? per packet period? how would they know where to bill a merchant;
would they only bill merchants who colo/vhost in their facilities? (which
would drive people away from them *really* fast) trying to track down the
billing address of "Bob & Martha's Bait, Bobbers, & Bullets" to charge them
50 cents for the $10 of buisness they did, seems like a waste of effort.
