Ghost TTY Logins

Is there anyway to clear the who command?  Fter a user logs out, he still
shows up in who.... Even though No One is logged into that TTy...
so example, say Iw as logged in on tty1 as me, and on tty2 I logged in as
some1else, then loged out, some1else would still show up when I type who
on tty1?  I'm running slack 7 with kernel 2.2.14
