Re: [TCLUG:17280] Any Covad users here?
I've had the mediaone roadrunner service for about three weeks now and i'm
very impressed with it an the speeds. I get about 100-150k/sec depending
upon where the other side is and it's speed. In the last three weeks there
have been many outages though, i wasn't affected my many of them, but
mediaone has a list at
http://www.mediaone.rr.com/rros2/help/0,2023,60__2_ms,00.html#archive
I don't think you'll be able to get there unless you're a mediaone customer
so i'll copy it to an attachment. The tech support is very good. If you
call in during normal hours like 8AM to 7PM? you can usually get the problem
solved. They have two levels of tech support so after that you only get
really basic support. I normally talk to Jeff and he doesn't care whether
i'm running networking or using a linux box or not, he tries to help despite
that. I think the problem is that mediaone isn't available throughout the
twin cities yet, but it will probably be avail. soon. I'd definately
recommend these guys when they become available. BTW, I set up an appt
for a week after i called them. They came in and ran the cable from the
line in our back yard into our house and finished the install in an hour, on
time and everything.

That's the earliest date they show, too bad they don't have archives of earlier dates, but this has
been the trend. Good Luck.
