Subject: [TCLUG:15427] shared MP3 directory

Hey everyone,

Here's what seems like a simple question...

What's the best way to implement some sort of shared MP3 directory so that
everyone with an accound on the box can listen to them. The CD
ripper/encoder that I use automatically creates an mp3/ in your home
directory. I was thinking that I could make a /usr/local/share/mp3 directory
and make ~/mp3 a symbolic link to that.

What about using icecast to stream MP3s? Has anyone tried that on their home
network?
