I'd certainly like to see that. I've followed GFS a *little* bit; so
it'd be cool to see a full presentation on it. :)
on a related note; have you considered adding data compression to your
filesystem? this is probably less useful for your fibre-channel environment;
but what about filesystems distributed over lower-bandwidth links (10Mbps
shared, DSL, POTS dial-up...).
rsync has a compression option; and at least according to it's own
statistics, this speeds up transfers even between disks on the same bus. (is
there a way to test this independently with bonnie?)
