Yes, he was referring to the USB version specifically. But unless they fully
support Linux, including the eject ioctls and power mgmt, it is hard to
justify for me. I prefer to support companies such as VXA and Matrox which
understand that their opening specs and/or driver source benefits them.
Besides, I am leery of using hardware where the manufacturer has not fully
opened the specs (Nvidia, 3dfx, Castlewood). But other than that, it is
supposed to be a nice drive.
