Although it's more of a handwave than anything else...  I've fixed a few
keyboard problems like that in the past by disconnecting the keyboard and
reconnecting it.  (Although it usually only has to be momentary, I once had a
lightning strike apparently put enough of a static charge on the keyboard that
it had to be disconnected overnight, but after that it was fine.)
