The power to do nothing
So I need to get our high-speed lines moved to our new office. I e-mail
my account rep (8 months and she never gave me her phone #). I get an
auto-reply saying that she is out of the office until the 15th, and I
should contact her backup rep. I call the backup guy. He's in
mandatory training for 2 days. I get desperate and start dialing random
extensions. The whole fscking ISP group is in mandatory training! I
call the 800 number back and listen to the options:
If you would like new service press 1
If you would like to change service press 2
...
I press 2
ring
ring
ring
"if you'd like to make a call, please hang up and try again"
I call back and press 1
ring
ring
ring
"if you'd like to make a call, please hang up and try again"
Even more desperate, I call !nterprise. They give me the 800 number
that I called in the first place, and another 800 number to try. I try
the 2nd one, get some lacky on the phone. He can't help me, but he'd
gladly forward me to someone that can..."if you'd like to make a
call..."
So in a final desperate attempt, I dial a few more random extension
numbers on the 1st 800 number I got. After about 4 tries I finally got
the receptionist. She forwarded me to my rep's extension...argh!!!
