Re: [TCLUG:14492] Text-mode GUI-like thinggie?
I've done some pretty nifty things with the Perl Curses library. It's fairly
simple to learn, and the majority of the code is object oriented. A nice
front end to the various tools should be really simple to do.
You should be able to get an example of me using Perl curses at
http://doubt.sigfs.org/elmekia (down until this evening, sorry).

Subject: [TCLUG:14492] Text-mode GUI-like thinggie?
Hi,
This isn't pure Linux, but what the heck...
I'm setting up a Linux box as a CD Burner/Tape Maker, and would like to
make a kinda GUI-like interface for people here to use. This machine won't
be running X in order to save on resources, so I need some kind of
text-mode thing. Anyone know of any simple system for creating this kind
of thing? Preferably some kind of Perl module I've missed?
One idea I have now is setting up apache on it and having people use lynx
on the console. Anyone have any comments on that?
