While I'm not disagreeing that other times may have been better, the point
stands that business and technology conferences are generally either held
during the day or they're full-weekend events. Holding them in the evening,
so far as I've seen, simply isn't done (multi-day conferences may have
evening events, but that's not the same thing) and I don't know that
Real-Time has enough content to fill an entire weekend.

Irrelevant. This isn't a TCLUG meeting. It's a conference being held by
Real-Time, at which TCLUG was asked to sponsor an event. If people want to
continue the InstallFest into the evening so that more TCLUGgers can attend,
that may be possible, but event organizers generally have to conform to the
schedule of the conference, not the other way around.
