Well, I have 7 fans in my PC, and there was just
no way to get that down to the noise level that I require.

However, PC Power and Cooling sells its "Silencer" series
of case fans and power supplies.  I have a PC Power and
Cooling 275 Power Supply and it is much quieter than any
other power supply that I've ever seen (although not silent).

I suspect that their case fans would be just as good.

And yes, I have mine 'puter in my closet, but I have plenty
of space, and so there is enough air circulating in there to
keep me happy.

As far as InstallFest goes, I can see many TCLUGers getting
out of work/school to attend such a thing.  However, the people
who want to see what Linux is all about, and maybe install it
on one of their older PCs are going to be far less likely to be
interested in using up a vacation day to do so.  That, I believe,
is going to be a huge problem, and I think that attendance is
not going to be very high.  But hey, maybe I'm off my rocker,
here.
