un*x on macs.
Has anyone here tried any of the various "open source" unix for macintoshes
besides linux? i realise that yellow dog and such has been discussed, but
I'm faced with a large amount of well stocked macs of both the m68k and ppc
variety, the PPC versions being NuBus based. After installing MkLinux on a
PowerPC 7100 I was relatively impressed, but that was at least 8 months ago
and I'm wondering if anything interesting has sprung up that any of you
might have played around with. (More than anything, I'm trying to fix up
some macs for a project- I had some success w/ serving via appletalk on a pc
w/ linux but I'd really like to run it on a mac... sort of makes it whole
when all the other users insist on macs.) any info or input anyone? (other
than the obvious links. hit them all already.)
