I came up with the same conclusion. The only option I know of is to extend
the Web interface yourself, which can be done. I've done some Web to
Exchange/Outlook interfacing before, but not for the purpose of extending
OWA (Outlook Web Access). It's one of those things that falls under the
category of "would be cool if I had time..." but as usual, there are many
other things to do that would actually pay the rent. Perhaps someday my
employer would consider it a high enough priority to assign me to it, but
I'm not holding my breath. :-(  It might be a very marketable product...
