CD-Rs and audio write problems
I'm curious if anyone out there has bothered to make an audio cd in their CD-R
drive. I've got a JVC R2626 (basically a completely random drive), and I can't
seem to get anything to work right when using cdrecord to write audio tracks.
The Table of Contents seems to get written correctly, but when I try to play the
cd, I either get a short bit of music that quickly degenerates to static, or
nothing at all. When I've tried fast-forwarding to the next track, the laser
head scans but doesn't find anything (and gives a nice *thump* when it hits the
outside wall ;-)
Anyway, just curious if someone has some tips or tricks to getting it right..
