About Umax 330T or 312T

Hi
    One of my friends is consider buying a low price notebook. She want to
know whether linux(RedHat 5.2) run wll well on Umax 330T (or 312T) or not.
Are there anybody ever try them? Or anyone can suggest other low price
notebook.
