Monitors
Since we're on a bit of a hardware kick here, I
thought I'd throw in a quick question of my own...
I have an old 15" Trinitron that went
poof. The tube seemed fine, but I think its the voltage regulator or one
of those other components that 'make it work.' Does anyone know of a local
place to fix it at a price reasonable enough to justify doing so? I really
liked the monitor, but could probably replace it for less than 150 if I needed
to. It's one of those 'waste not want not' things.
And I also wanted to confirm that no one really
objects to all these hardware postings... I mean, it's great to have local
computer usin' folk to ask such questions of, but I would understand if there
are folks out there getting kinda cranky about sifting thru all these hardware
posings in their os mailing list. Does this really offend anyone, and is
there a better place to take this?
Thanks,
Allie
