I had the same problem with a Diamond Stealth trio. Xconfigurator
would core dump. I never figured out why, takes too much time. I
just ended up using xf86config instead.
It is text based and doesnot probe hardware unlike Xconfigurator,
so you gotta know what you have to configure X.
