TCLUG Meeting Announcement
This is a non-official meeting announcement because I am still waiting
for confirmation on our room reservation. As soon as I get confirmation
I will send out an official announcement, but I thought I should send
this on because I hate waiting until the last minute...
What: TCLUG Meeting
Where: University of Minnesota, room TBA
When: Saturday March 4th, noon until 2pm
What: Seth Schoen from LinuxCare is coming to discuss what they are
doing for the Linux community.
Here's a little info on Seth:
Before coming to Linuxcare, Seth Schoen worked for AtreNet LLC, where he
performed computer security and system administration consulting. Seth
produced a prototype for the ControlBox, a Web-based home automation
project. He also worked for National Energy Research Scientific
Computing Center, part of the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory.
Seth has been quite active with various Linux users groups, having been
an officer of the U.C. Berkeley Linux Users Group and involved the
Consortium of All Bay Area Linux (CABAL). Seth has also been one of the
key developers of the Linuxcare Bootable Business Card. He attended the
University of California Berkeley, and speaks classical Latin, classical
Greek, and Esparanto.
Most of Seth's talk will be around the bootable business card, and other
Linux subjects.
Please inform any anyone you know that might be interested in this talk.
This includes any friends, relatives, IT managers, CEO's or presidents.
LinuxCare is coming from Silicon Valley and I want it to be worth their
time.
Thanks.
Clay
