CF: cult monsters and difficulty?

Hi,

this is a question that came up during the "quest for the ring of
ruling/something of berserkergang" -:)

A while ago, "Steve the batman" accidentally converted to Ruggilli.
Since there was no altar to convert back, he ckecked out the cult
monsters --- and found out that he got dragons. Okay.

A couple of days ago, somebody complained that things get boring ---
running through the maps with dragons in them, to find "the one ring".
So, Steve (the real person) asked "why don't you become follower of
Ruggilli?" --- "Ruggilli?" --- "Yep --- he has dragons as cult monsters,
big, fat, red dragons with all the usual dragon droppings".

So, everybody converted to Ruggilli, went to a large room with an
altar and sufficient difficulty (the 'who command on my server outputs
the difficulty, too), or even to a large room with difficulty 20 and
no altar (we don't know any difficulty 20 maps with altars), and
started casting cult monsters, killing them, casting some, killing
them... you get the idea.

Of course, the usual jokes came up ("why don't you change the spell so
that it only creates the items, instead of putting those annoying monsters
around them?", "I guess Ruggilli's zoo should be cleared out by now",
"Ruggilli is probably wondering what's happening to all his cult monsters"
etc.). However, the one question remains:

-> Does the difficulty value of a map affect the items generated via
cult-monster casting? I.e. do we have a chance to get artifact items
   from cult monsters?
