 There are ways to fill rectangular areas (pretty easy actually).  Able to
have non rectuangular regions could be useful.

 Certainly, some things would be easier to make default values than others -
you could have the no magic stuff done pretty easily (just change the code
in the space attributes to also look at the map object and see if no magic
is set.)

 However, things like gods in altars or even gods that can cast spells
would be a bit more difficult, as there is currently no way to currently
do that..
