New/Old weapon improvement code

 With all this talk about the relative power of weapon improvement, here is a
simple question for those people that are actually running servers:

 Are any of you actually using the old improve weapon code?  If not, it would
then suggest that it could be removed safely - in general I would like to try
to reduce the number of configurable options, because it makes the code easier
to maintain.
