As you can see in an old thread (below), several people (including me) have
asked both this list and Ascend Support for this answer, but had no
response. I gave up five months ago...

| This MAX6000 *is* on it's own port in the switch!
| When I was using 6.1.24 (which has a broken code for E1), this box was
