(ASCEND) OSPF Problems

First time for me attempting to set up OSPF on a max (we've been using 
RIPv2 but its really killing the processor on even our larger routers).  
I'm trying to get this setup with a stub area (10.0.0.1).  However, my 
problem is that I can't see any of the routes on my cisco 7513 with the 
area defined as a stub area (well the other problem is that I have to 
reboot the damn max anytime I have to try something new but thats not 
much you guys can help me with :).  I can't not define it as a stub 
area, I have too many routes that the max would never be able to handle 
it all.  Am I doing something wrong that I'm not seeing any routes 
coming from the max at the border router for the stub area but when I 
define it as a normal area it works fine?  I've tried version 6.1.7 and 
version 7.0.4 on this.  I'm really at a loss, I guess I'll play with it 
some more tomorrow, but after 3 hours of this tonight I'm really beat.
