You might want to check out the capabilities of the Radiator
RADIUS server.  It offers a session database which logs 
active sessions to an SQL database.  You can get more information
from http://www.open.com.au/radiator/

It may be worthwhile to mention that getting login information
from RADIUS accounting is far from the most accurate method.
RADIUS accounting packets are often duplicated or lost since
it's UDP traffic, so your logs are never 100% reliable.
